Visual Art
I create large-scale recreations of iconic ’70s and ’80s punk rock and new wave single sleeves and album covers, transforming these legendary designs into vibrant pop art pieces. Working at 600mm scale, these bold paintings function beautifully as standalone statement pieces or framed gallery works that adapt to any space. The scale and artistic approach make these works likely unique on a global level.
Writing Projects
Art Pop / Pop Art
My in-progress book explores the fascinating intersection between an art school education and rock music success. Currently featuring an introduction and fifteen draft chapters (available as blog posts), each chapter examines individual artists and traces their art school backgrounds or connections to specific art movements.
I welcome your erudite feedback on these artist studies as the project develops.
The Punk Operating System – Built Without Permission
Punk is usually remembered as a moment. A sound. A look. A brief rupture in the late twentieth century that burned brightly and then receded into nostalgia. That reading is convenient, and incomplete. What punk actually produced was not just music or attitude, but a working method. A way of organising production, distribution, attention, and value under conditions of exclusion and scarcity. Long before the language of lean startups, guerrilla marketing, bootstrapping, or creator economies existed, punk was already practising them, not as theory, but as necessity.
This book begins from a simple proposition. Punk should be understood less
as a cultural movement and more as an operating logic.

Art & Design Writing, Retrospective Reviews
I write in-depth reviews of historically and culturally significant single and album releases also notable events from music history. As my style develops combining music, cultural events and art genres it’s been recently described by a follower as ‘Mojo for the masses’. So if you enjoyed OG Seventies NME, Sounds and Q Magazine in the Nineties – or any other music publication please take a look. They’re signposted RETROSPECTIVE. I really enjoy the research and golden nuggets that are revealed.
Politics and Economics Articles
Lifetime interest in politics, economics and heavyweight current-affairs television of the Seventies and Eighties. In recent years I’ve delved into “renegade economics”, from Levitt and Dubner’s ‘Superfreakonomics‘ to Malcolm Gladwell’s ‘Outliers‘ and ‘The Tipping Point‘. I attempt to break down complicated concepts and write long-form pieces on international economics and current affairs aiming for the tone and calibre of the Sunday Times magazine.
This website serves as the central hub for all my creative work and ongoing projects.
